Neua lions have very different reproductive cycle from other lions.
While most lions can produce anywhere from 1-6 cubs (most commonly 2-4), neua lions typically only have one cub in a litter. Occasionally lionesses have been known to give birth to twins. There have been seven recorded cases of triplets and four recorded cases of quadruplets since the creation of neua lions (thousands upon thousands of years ago, probably actually millions of years ago).
WIP.
Notes:
-twins appear to be more common in the Eastern prides, especially the eastern prides of mainland, and the prides of the smaller eastern islands
-some lines have the same gender children in all litters, unless one litter is twins (so one family has only sons or only daughters unless they have twins then maybe one of the opposite sex), most common in the Elpis and Arche prides
-both genders mature at 2 years and are able to have children then. however, this is ill-advised and, in normal/human terms, it's similar to a 16 year old couple having a baby.
-most neua lions mate for the first time around the age of 5
-same gender couples can have children if the gods approve
-pregnant for approx. 2 months
-normally conception is impossible during autumn (mating may take place, but conception normally doesn't; just an evolutionary thing bc if they get prego in fall then they give birth in winter which downs survival rate of cubs), so winter births are rare. survival of winter cubs is very rare.
-can live 25-200 years; 132 is normally about the age a healthy lion will live to if it doesn't catch an illness/get killed in battle
-1 year= early teens (13-14)
-2 years = mid teens (15-16)
-3 years = late teens (17-19)
-4 years = early twenties (20-23)
-5 years = mid twenties (24-25)
-6 years = late twenties (26-29)
and so on
-children generally live with parents until 3-4 years of age
